When we embarked on this podcast journey way back in 2021, we were originally a Canadian football history podcast. Though, as we soon realized, you can't tell the story of Canadian football without talking about America. Why? Well, Canada has been welcoming Americans for decades, which is why, if I had a choice, I would be living in the Great White North rather than on the far side of the world. However, thanks to technology, no matter where we CFL fans are in the world, we are all one big Canadian football league family...
And when it comes to family and football, none make me smile more than the great folks at
The Turf District Podcast, where they personify the motto- "football is family." Andrew, Kayla and Superfan Mike have been on air for a decade covering the CFL game and their beloved Edmonton Elks/Eskimos and setting the standard for fan based and produced podcasts and they are always a great listen and watch. Among the three, Mike, is the resident historian and friend of our show, whose knowledge of all things Edmonton, Canadian, and American football runs very very deep. Mike is a good friend whom we hope to hear more from here as we retool and reboot.
