At the time this writer moved to Japan, the days of easily scheduling an interview with gridiron historians quickly became a thing of the past. Among the interviews our show was unable to land, prior to the shift across the Pacific, was Dr. Frank Consentino, Canadian football hall of famer, Grey Cup champion, professor emeritus, and THE preeminent Canadian football scholar. However, once across the Pacific, Dr. Consentino, who was the last CFL quarterback (when he was with the Hamilton Ti-Cats) to pass for a touchdown against an NFL team (the Buffalo Bills) in 1961, in the last of the CFL/NFL exhibition games, made time for us and sat down with me for a wonderful chat about Canadian football history. One note here, I made sure that when I moved here to Japan, I brought all his books with me :-).
